Coconut Macaroons
Ingredients:
- 3 cups shredded coconut
- 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 325F 165C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet
Shred the coconut and mix it with the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract in a bowl
Mix well until everything is well mixed
Beat the egg whites and salt together in a different bowl until stiff peaks form
Slowly add the egg whites that have been beaten to the coconut mixture until it is all well mixed together
With a spoon or cookie scoop, drop heaping tablespoonfuls of the dough onto the baking sheet that has been prepared
Leave some space between each cookie
After the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown
After taking the macaroons out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way down
When the macaroons are completely cool, you can dip the bottoms of them in melted chocolate if you want to
Then, put them on parchment paper to set
